Do you like to be appreciated?  Of course you do, we all do.  A quick “thanks” for being a loyal customer goes a long way but when the thank you is delivered in person, ya!   Have you heard how Telus is saying thank you to their loyal customers with grand gestures?  They are really going above and beyond for their customers.  I for one am a tad bit envious about this whole Telus Grand Gestures thing (I have to check when my contract is up with present provider).

Check out this video of how TELUS truly cares about the communities where we live, work and play. Putting customers first is their top priority and part of that is listening to customer feedback and thanking them for their loyalty. This focus on their customers guides everything they do, from their Give Where We Live philosophy to their Customers First days, where senior leaders interact with front-line team members to see what customers want first-hand.  Now that’s caring about the customer!

Oh, how I would love to be this customer.  You know what?  This is just the beginning…
–  The Telus Care-a-Van team is rolling into town this week with a host of events and activities that will be taking place all week long to specially thank TELUS local customers and the Guelph community.  

–  TELUS is literally performing everyday acts of caring all over the Guelph community throughout the week. As part of this, they’re donating $5 to the Guelph Children’s Foundation for every use of #actsofcaring.

–  They’re going door to door to the homes of their top 100 customers to thank them personally with a care package – a small token of their appreciation.

–   They are also hosting a free BBQ lunch for their top 1000 customers and their families at the local TELUS store. They’ll be presenting a cheque to the Guelph Children’s Foundation in the amount of $5000 – in response to all the uses of #actsofcaring. Donald Woodley (member of TELUS Board of Directors) will join the celebration to present the cheque. 

I just think this is absolutely fantastic way for a brand to show how much they appreciate their loyal customers and to pay it forward.  Way to go Telus!

      I know Erica, I am so jealous my provider has never shown this type of thanks to me. We can hope or change providers maybe 🙂

    I think more companies should make customer recognition a priority. This is a really great initiative and I love seeing that video.

      I am with you on that Pam, I have never experienced any sort of customer recognition with my current company.

    I;ve been a loyal TELUS customer for years… I worked there when I was in Edmonton. Great company!

    Her face is lit right up. It brings tears to my eyes, amazing.

    Now I just need Telus to come and take me somewhere special haha (I would settle with a paid vacation in the Okanagan lol). What a fabulous company, they have always treated me great.

    I love this, the fact that Telus is giving back to loyal customers is amazing. It sounds to me like the customer is king with them. I’ve not heard of other companies rewarding loyal customers, perhaps this will catch on, that would be nice eh? I also love the fact that they gave such a nice cheque to the Guelph Children’s Foundation. Have they done this again?
