Too busy to be active?

Are you a busy mom or dad?  You have so much to do each day that you just don’t seem to have time or energy to do anything for yourself?  If you’re like most parents you have your plate pretty full with the kids, kids events, work (and yes a stay at home mom is work!), errands, meals, house cleaning, laundry and oh yes, the outdoorsy stuff like gardening.  I can go on but you get the picture. So who has time to exercise with all this going on?  Do you know if you don’t make some time to get active each day that one day you won’t be able to do all this running?   

Join me for the #30For30 Challenge

I won’t bother boring you with all the statistics about how being active helps you lose weight, lower stress or feel energized.  Chances are if you’re reading this then you have read other articles about all the benefits of being active.  What I want to do here is to challenge you to join me in being active for 30 days.  Take the #30For30 Challenge!  You can choose any activity you like (walking, jogging, aerobics, video workout, gym), what ever suits you and do it for 30 minutes each and every day!  This is a stress free way to get active.  There’s no work out plan to follow, its your choice, just do it!! 

The rules

Here’s the low down on the #30For30 Challenge.  You must use the entry form below so we can pick a winner randomly (for $25 cash prize), but the most important thing is to join the #30For30 Group on Facebook so we can communicate through out the challenge. The group will be open until Sunday June 15th to accept those who want to join us.  The group is to keep us accountable and to share how we are doing with each other.   After the #30For30 Challenge is over, a winner will be chosen from the list of participants that entered.  Have fun, let’s get moving and good luck!

      That does seem to be my problem too! Well lets kick each other’s butt and get that half hour in :) can’t wait to start.

    Hope this will motivate me to get moving on a regular basis. Do well for short periods but then get busy and the exercise is the first thing to go.

      That’s exactly how I am. I think this will kick butt and then everyone can continue or back off a little. 30 minutes a day is do-able.

    For me it’s just finding the time. I’ve been doing pretty good most days, but some days it’s sneaking away from the laptop.

    Am I too late to join? I was going to do my stuff last night but ended up hosting guests and falling into bed exhausted. Waaah!
